On June 27th, Shanghai International Studies Association (SISA) held its 13th General Meeting and Academic Seminar. Ren Xiaowen, member of the party group and full-time vice chairman of the SISA, Jiang Feng, Secretary of the Party committee of Shanghai International Studies University, and Sun Youzhong, director of the Foreign Language Instruction Committee of the Ministry of Education, attended the meeting.
In this meeting, the leadership and council of SISA were elected. The College of Foreign Languages of Shanghai Maritime University was re-elected as the executive director unit of SISA, and Dean Zhang Yan was elected as the executive director. The College will work on the construction of first-class undergraduate majors in Shanghai according to national standards, strive to highlight its advantages and innovation, and train students into interdisciplinary talent in foreign languages.
Founded in 1957, SISA is one of the first eight basic societies established by the Shanghai Federation of Social Science Association.
