On April 16, Lin-gang Group and Mitsubishi UFJ Bank Group jointly organized a visiting program on the topic of Japanese Companies in Lin-gang. More than 30 senior representatives from Mitsubishi UFJ Bank Group, Itochu Corporation, Sumitomo Corporation, Yazaki (China) Investment, and other Japanese companies participated in this event. Shanghai Maritime University Lin-gang Special Area Multilingual Service Center sent Ms. Xu Xiuzhi from the Department of Japanese Language, together with Wu Jingyi and Lin Yu from Japanese Language Class 172, to assist in the translation and reception of the event.
The whole language service process included detailed and pre-interpretation research as well as teamwork between teachers and students in translation and interpretation on the event day. The representatives of enterprises visited the exhibition hall of the modern service industry in the Special Area and listened to the introduction of the planning and construction of Lin-gang and Dishui Lake Financial Bay, and expressed their attention to the Chinese market.
The efficient work of Shanghai Maritime University Lin-gang Special Area Multilingual Service Center was highly appreciated by both China and Japan. This event also illustrates that the College of Foreign Languages of Shanghai Maritime University promotes the social service of industry-university-research, especially the integration of industry-city and university-enterprise cooperation in Lin-gang Special Area.
