In the afternoon of March 17, in order to raise the political awareness of teachers and students and strengthen their education on the overall national security concept, a political study meeting of the College of Foreign Languages was held in the lecture hall of the Foreign Language Building. Zhu Yaobin, Secretary of the Party Committee of the College, presided over the meeting, and all the faculty members and student members of the College attended.
During the session, Associate Professor Chen Shun, a member of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, shared his experience and insight of his posting in the Chinese Embassy in South Africa. During the exchange, he introduced the natural conditions, humanities, history, and political system of South Africa, and explained his work content and experience as a foreign representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. He believes that a Party member should strengthen theoretical cultivation through constant learning, strengthen ideal belief, and remember the original mission.
Dr. Yu Zufa, a faculty member of the College of Foreign Languages who was selected by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to serve as an international coordinator in Osaka Prefecture, Japan, shared his experience of working abroad for one year. He hoped that students would give full play to their professional strengths, enhance their cross-cultural communication skills and “tell the Chinese story” around the world.
In the speech of Zhu Yaobin, secretary of the Party Committee of the college, affirmed that the two teachers could firmly take a stand in their foreign work, give full play to their professional strengths, handle various foreign-related issues with wisdom, and always maintain a sense of home and country. As college teachers and students, we should establish the correct values, guard the ideological positions in the classroom, teaching materials and academic reports, strictly abide by the school discipline and work requirements, and help the College and the school to develop spiritual civilization.
