In order to strengthen the grassroots Party building work of the College and further promote the standardization of branch construction, the Party Committee of the College of Foreign Languages held a review meeting on December 30 for the secretary of the faculty branch to grasp the work of grassroots Party building. Zhu Yaobin, secretary of the Party committee of the College, and all members of the Party committee listened to the presentation, and the secretaries of the staff branches and counselors attended.
At the meeting, the secretary of the six staff branches of the College made a presentation on the regular work of the branches, political learning of Party members, the promotion of grassroots work of the branches, the work of learning to strengthen the country, and the characteristics of the work of the branches in the past year. In addition to the activities of the branch, each branch also showed the outstanding performance of its members in epidemic prevention and control, teaching work, scientific research work, student guidance, etc., and demonstrated the entrepreneurial spirit of teaching staff members who are courageous and strive for excellence.
After listening to the presentation of the secretaries of the faculty branches, the members of the Party Committee of the College made comments on the work of each branch, affirming the achievements of each branch in the past year and hoping that each branch would continue to organize branch activities and welcome the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Party.
In his concluding speech, the secretary of the College Party committee thanked the branch secretaries for their hard work in the past year, pointed out that the branch secretary’s review can promote the exchange of work in each branch and help to improve the level of branch work. Regarding the specific work of each branch, Secretary Zhu hoped that each branch, while implementing the work requirements of the higher level, would plan and hold more work that reflects the characteristics of the branch and plays the role of faculty branches in the ideological leadership, academic guidance and career guidance of students.
The College of Foreign Languages continues to attach importance to the grass-roots Party building work of the College and has been carrying out the work of reporting and evaluation of branch secretaries for many years. The College will further standardize the branch secretary’s report and evaluation, effectively use the results of the report and evaluation, and further promote the work of the College’s grass-roots branches.
