On the evening of November 15, the College of Foreign Languages held a study experience exchange session with the theme of “Talking about the postgraduate entrance examination”, in which Sun Yuling, a 2019 undergraduate graduate of the College, was invited to give a lecture and Sun Zhikuan, a counselor, presided over the session, and all 2019 undergraduates attended. The event was conducted online through Tencent Conference.
During the session, Sun Yuling gave a detailed elaboration on four aspects of the purpose, channel, information acquisition and personal experience of further education through a mind map. She talked about her knowledge of top school and shared her journey of learning. In addition, she encouraged the students to know themselves and their opponents, and to determine their majors by combining their interests and the number of applicants.
In the Q&A session, Sun Yuling carefully answered the questions about internship, how to determine the target college, how to learn the professional courses, and the characteristics of undergraduate and graduate studies.
The session was informative and insightful, which made the students understand that they should have their determination on the way to graduate school and keep it all the time.
The College's “Foreign Language+” lecture focuses on students’ career development and practice, and this semester, the College plans to hold a series of special activities for the undergraduates of the 19th grade – “Green Grapefruit 19”. The event mainly invites fresh graduates to share their study experience and career development.
Note: Sun Yuling, formerly a student of English Translation 152 in the College of Foreign Languages, was admitted to the master’s degree program of Computer-Aided Translation in the School of Software and Microelectronics of Peking University in 2019, and is now interning in an Internet company in Shanghai.
