In the afternoon of June 15, Associate Professor Wang Huashu from Guangdong University of Foreign Studies was invited to give a lecture on Translation Technology and Translation Career in the Era of Artificial Intelligence to students and faculty members of the College of Foreign Languages, hosted by He Shaobin, Vice Dean of the College, and more than 120 students and faculty members of the College attended the lecture online.
In the lecture, Associate Professor Wang Huashu first introduced his personal experience and main achievements and then gave an illustrated and in-depth lecture from five aspects: whether to learn translation technology in the AI era, translation technology composition and development trend, technology-driven innovation of translation profession, technology-enabled development of translation career, and translation technology research in the era of human-computer interaction.
Towards the end of the lecture, Vice Dean He Shaobin summarized the content of the lecture, saying that Associate Professor Wang Huashu's lecture was very informative, with impressive in-depth explanations and comprehensive examples, and discussed in depth the career development of MTI students under the development of translation technology. The lecture lasted for more than two hours, and the participating teachers and students were deeply benefited.
