At 3:15 p.m. on December 25, 2018, Yu Hongrong, Director of the International Exchange Office, Ruan Wei, Dean of the College of International Education, and Li Hua from the College of International Education, Zhou Jiayu and Ding Shanshan from the International Exchange Office came to the College of Foreign Languages for a research visit, and Zhu Yaobin, Secretary of the Party Committee of the College of Foreign Languages, Li Fang, Director of the International Program Exchange Department, and Ye Hui, Director of the Chinese International Education Center, participated in the meeting.
Ms. Li Fang reported some problems encountered in the foreign affairs assessment, such as the declaration of all-English courses and the assessment of the number of international students; Ms. Ye Hui raised the difficulties encountered in the cultivation of Master of Chinese International Education, which will be enrolled in 2019.
On the issue of foreign affairs assessment, Director Yu Hongrong answered that, in fact, when formulating the assessment index, he had already made personalized design for the different situations of each college and tried to be fair and reasonable.
In response to the questions about the declaration of all-English courses and the enrollment in the operation of new majors, Dean Ruan Wei and teacher Li Hua from the College of International Education also answered each of them. Dean Ruan Wei suggested that the College of Foreign Languages could consider building and majoring in a combination of full English courses and declare them directly with the College of International Education.
Through the meeting of about one hour, all the questions of our college in foreign affairs assessment and the running of new majors were answered effectively.
