In the afternoon of February 22, the College of Foreign Languages held a general meeting of all faculty and staff in the lecture hall of the Foreign Language Building, which was presided over by Li Pingyou, secretary of the Party Committee of the College, and attended by all faculty and staff of the College of Foreign Languages.
Secretary Li Pinyou conveyed the spirit of the school's middle-level cadres meeting on the morning of the 22nd; informed the feedback of the second inspection group of the second round of inspection of the second party committee of the school to the college; serious the discipline of various activities of the school and the college; introduced the new faculty members of the college and welcomed their arrival on behalf of the college, hoping that the new teachers could integrate into the college as soon as possible.
President Zhang Yan informed the results of the school's assessment of the college in 2022. She said that the significant improvement of the assessment grade of the College could not be achieved without the joint efforts of all the faculty members. The college will focus on key points such as talent training, scientific research and platform construction to make continuous efforts and inject new vitality into the development of the college with reform and innovation. The College attaches importance to the integration of industry and education, and established the Multilingual Service Center of Lin-gang Special Area in 2022, which has successfully assisted the internationalization of Lin-gang Special Area for many times and expanded the social influence of our school. She encouraged teachers to guide graduates to work in maritime related enterprises, highlighting maritime foreign language characteristics, enhancing alumni cohesion and contributing to the development of the industry. Finally, she informed the college of the 2022 performance allocation plan and financial income and expenditure, and deployed the key work for 2023, with special emphasis on talent attraction and education, and welcomed all faculty members to actively recommend suitable candidates.
Liu Zhi, deputy secretary of the Party Committee of the College, Guo Haixia and Jiang Zhejie, vice presidents, Bo Zhenjie, chairman of the labor union, and Deng Zhong, director of the Office of the College, made the deployment of student work, undergraduate teaching, scientific research, postgraduate work, labor union and women's committee work and the work of the College office in the new semester respectively.
